October is proving to be a busy month of Fire Prevention Details for the HFD.

Members were honored to be a part of Greenburgh's Spooktoberfest event for the annual Halloween Festival at Hartsbrook Park this past weekend.

Also, the HFD completed a Fire Prevention Visit at the Vivvi Day Care Center on Central Ave earlier today.

As previously mentioned, during our Fire Prevention Visits, the emphasis and goal is to teach the children and staff the importance of practicing fire safety, smoke detector & CO detector activation sounds, and to familiarize them with the look, sound, and purpose of the friendly firefighter in the funny costume with a helmet and mask who is there to help.

Once again, thank you all for having us... We always enjoy the well-organized participation of the Town Events and our educational Fire Prevention visits.
