On December 4th at 11:47am, Hartsdale dispatch received a 911 call reporting a fire in a fireplace at 30 Kenneth Rd. A full assignment was dispatched along with an additional company from Fairview. Car 2172 arrived and reported a working fire. The working fire assignment added Greenville Ladder 4, Scarsdale Ladder 28 as the F.A.S.Team. Hartsdale units quickly established that the fire had gotten out of the chimney chase and there was some extension to the walls and attic area. Two hoselines were stretched as well as a supply line to a nearby fire hydrant. Hartsdale and mutual aid companies opened the walls, ceiling and roof in the area around the chimney in order to extinguish the fire. All Units returned to service by 1:11pm.
