Throughout the month of October, Hartsdale members along with Fairview and Greenville Fire Departments, participated in the Fall Training day which covered the topics of vehicle extrication, as well as patient packaging and low angle rope rescue. At the first station, members practiced extrication and stabilization techniques on numerous types of vehicles. At the second station, members practiced stabilizing and securing a patient into a backboard stokes basket and removal with a rope system. The scenarios were based on previous incidents that have occurred in the Town of Greenburgh. The training also covered mutual aid operations amongst the three districts.
