On Friday July 15 our newest Probationary Firefighters, Collin Bard, Brandon Boney and Matthew Doherty graduated from the Westchester County Career Chiefs Fire Academy. On Monday July 18 on their first shift at the firehouse they responded to a working attic fire with the on-duty crew and mutual aid companies. The 'Probies' performed exceptionally in their tasks of laddering the building, venting the structure, stretching hose lines, assisting in extinguishment, pulling ceilings, searching for fire extension, overhaul and salvage operations. This was done during a severe storm with heavy rains and lightning. Welcome to the Hartsdale Fire department a job well done.
