When Santa Claus heard it was time to spread holiday cheer throughout the Hartsdale Fire District, he knew exactly what he had to do. He slid down the fire pole at Hartsdale Fire Station One, jumped into his lime green sleigh, a converted Hartsdale Fire Department Engine and activated the department’s 5th annual Operation Candy Cane on Saturday, December 21, 2019. With the help of his elf friends from HFD, they delivered good will and spread Holiday cheer, along with a lot of candy canes, throughout the District. Santa also took time to pose for photographs with the more than 200 children and their parents who came out to greet him and his helpers as they visited more than 20 locations throughout the Hartsdale Fire District.
