On May 23, 2019 just after 1pm Hartsdale was requested to respond to a reported construction accident on Dobbs Ferry Rd. A full assignment from Hartsdale as well as mutual aid from Fairview was requested by Car 2172. This incident took place during the on going grant funded technical rescue training drill also on Dobbs Ferry Rd. In addition to the on duty Hartsdale and Fairview members several members also responded from the drill to assist the on duty crew. These members served as additional manpower and staged specialized rescue equipment. Upon the arrival of Car 2172 it was quickly identified that this was a medial emergency not a technical rescue. On duty HFD and FFD members along with Greenburgh Police Paramedics immediately administered CPR to the worker. With an immediate response and team work all members operating successfully resuscitated the injured worker.
