Frank Musorrafiti, a decorated Hartsdale Fire Department career firefighter, was sworn in as captain, by Board of Fire Commissioner Chairman Tony Frasca, at the monthly Board of Fire Commissioners’ meeting at Station 2 on West Hartsdale Avenue on Tuesday evening, May 14, 2019.

After being sworn in, Captain Musorrafiti’s son, Leonardo, and wife, Marisa, pinned on his new badge.

Captain Musorrafiti is a nine-year veteran of the department and was promoted to Captain at the beginning of May. During his career as a Hartsdale firefighter he has been given three Life Saving Awards and one Unit Citation. Since 2006, he has been an Emergency Medical Technician. Along with other members of the department, Captain Musorrafiti helps run Operation Candy Cane, where Santa Claus and his elves visit the Hartsdale neighborhoods in a fire truck. Photos by Alan Zale
