At 1532Hrs Hartsdale Fire was dispatched to the area of 141 South Central Ave for a motor vehicle accident with multiple injuries and two people reportedly trapped in a vehicle. First arriving Engine 170 arrived on scene and stabilized the vehicle. The car was shut down and battery disconnected. Engine 170 stretched a 1 3/4 handling and deployed the hydraulic extrication equipment. Engine 169 made patient contact with the occupants of the second vehicle located south of the incident by 156 South Central Ave. HFD members quickly removed the drivers door and assisted EMS with removal of both occupants from the vehicle. In total three ambulances were requested and five people were transported to area hospitals.
