At just after 6pm on August 8, 2016 Engine 170 responded mutual aid to Fairview on a reported kitchen fire. Engine 170 arrived on location and located on a hydrant. Fairview command then requested Engine 170's manpower to complete searches on the fire floor and floor below, Which were completed and negative. Engine 170's crew then assisted FFD members with opening up ceilings in the fire area to completely extinguish fire that had extended into the ceiling. Engine 170 was released a short while later and returned to Hartsdale.
