The Hartsdale Fire Department, along with the Fairview and Greenville Fire Departments and Greenburgh Police Department gathered at Webb Field on Central Avenue in Hartsdale, NY for the Town of Greenburgh’s 9/11 Remembrance Tribute on Friday, September 11, 2015.

The ceremony was in remembrance of all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, but in particular Greenburgh residents and members of the New York City Fire and Police Departments. Eighth grade students from Sacred Heart Elementary School read the names of all the firefighters and police officers who perished while members of the town board read the names of the local residents.

Colonel Glenn R. Marchi, of the New York Guard, presented a 9-11 Remembrance Flag to the Town and Fire District Officials.

The day also included a moment of silence, the playing of Taps, a rifle salute by the Greenburgh Police Department Honor Guard. It concluded with the raising of the American flag and the singing of God Bless America by the eighth grade class from Sacred Heart School.
