August 11th just after 620pm Engine 170 responded mutual aid to Scarsdale for a working fire. Scarsdale units arrived on scene with a large single family house with smoke in the building. It was quickly determined there was active fire in the wall. Scarsdale members quickly secured power, positive water and stretched an attack line. The fire was contain to a small area thanks to a quick response. Engine 170 operated as relief for the Scarsdale members and assisted with overhaul.
While 170 was operating at this incident additional Hartsdale Units responded to a commercial fire alarm at 140 East Hartsdale Ave.
