Last evening just after midnight Hartsdale Engine 170 was requested mutual aid to Scarsdale as the F.A.S.Team on a working structure fire. Engine 170 arrived on location and assumed F.AS.T. Duties. Members completed a 360 degree walk around of the building. Members then assisted with aerial and portable ladder placement. HFD also ventilated the basement windows on the rear of the fire building for the attack crew. Engine 170s crew was then assigned to stretch a second line to the basement to assist with extinguishment. First arriving Scarsdale Units made a quick stop holding the fire to the basement area. Engine 170 assisted with overhaul and was released by command around 0230Hrs.
