Hartsdale Fire Chief Ed Rush explains the new Scott 5.5 Model X3 to Congresswoman Nita Lowey who was helpful in obtaining a $484,000 grant to buy the new Scott Packs for the Hartsdale, Fairview and Elmsford Fire Departments. Hartsdale Firefighter Brian Farrell demonstrates the new piece of equipment. The new Scott Packs provide more air in a smaller bottle.The SCBA's provide state of the art electronics that allow tracking of firefighters on the scene and where they are in the building as well as their air status.
